SoCal 2: April 17th - May 1st, 2025

And just like that, whoosh!, 7 months went by since we first left Santa Cruz! We thank MerSea for keeping us safe during our time out on the water. She’s a great little boat! Plus, she’s helped us to be able to live out our dreams! We worked hard & the stars aligned, to meet us half way, in creating this amazing life of ours!

The drive to SoCal from Puerto Peñasco.

Besides hanging out with the padres & connecting to conveniences, we made sure we still went outside in nature! 😄

Out in land nature!

My uncle Jeff, cousin Christy & her wife Savannah, -(or my cousin in-law) came to visit for a fun afternoon!

Thursday racing on Dad’s boat, Trifecta!

My dad’s friend Jeff was so kind & offered us a sail on his Catalina 387. One of the boats we were considering for a larger boat was a Catalina 380. Very nice boat!

Jeff’s Catalina 387!

My dad has a friend Dave, who sails with him. Dave built a trimaran over the course of 8 years. That trimaran’s name is Bandit. And we got to sail on Bandit! Fast boat! -As you will be able to see if you watch this week’s video.

Matt hikes & goes camping for a night at Crystal Cove.

It’s an action packed week this week! We get to sail on a few other boats besides our boat or my dad’s boat! Pretty fun! One of them is even custom made!

So, that pretty much concludes our 2024/2025 season! A very awesome one -even if it didn’t start out the best. It left us more experienced & fuller in our hearts from all the people we met & places we visited. Which in turn just leads me to say that we have absolutely no idea what the 2025/2026 season will hold for us. We don’t even dare at this point to even guess! 😅

Zephyr gets some posh beach time!

Thank you all for watching & reading! Next week we’ll be catching up a little bit more time-wise so that everything we're posting won’t quite be such old news.
