Bahia Concepcion: March 3rd - 11th, 2025

The Bay of Conception/Bahia Concepcion is actually an area that is often skipped over by cruisers in the Gulf of California. -Especially if they are on a time schedule. We had heard pretty cool things about it but we were on a time schedule last year & did have to sail on past it.

However, this year we did actually have the time window to check out a little bit of it. And it didn’t disappoint. And if you watch the video, you will see why. -I didn’t really take many photos while we were there. Much more interesting in live action form.

We visited 3 anchorages while we were there. -Santispac, Playa El Burro & Posada Concepcion. Playa El Burro was our favorite! So beautiful! Very different than any other anchorage we’ve been to. Although all 3 anchorages were very different than others we’ve been to. It’s the magical thing about the Gulf of California! It may all look the same on the map but the nooks & crannies of it are so varied!
