Isla Carmen Parte Tres - V Cove: February 5th & 6th, 2025

Window in the cliff at V Cove.

Places like this make me wish I had a better camera to truly capture the beauty it breathes. I think there is a bit of it in the video I shot. But you’ll have to see for yourself. I definitely want to go back here! Probably more so than any other anchorage we visited. It’s open to the north. So during the winter months, when we are there, it’s a bit tricky to find times when there aren’t northerly winds or no winds at all. -In addition to there not being any swell. And in addition to it not already being crowded. So we definitely felt lucky to get to stay here at least one night.

We spent the day cruising around on our dinghy looking at caves. Then galavanting on the beach with Zephyr. If we kept going inland, I bet we would have reached the salt flat in Bahia Salinas.

Matt went snorkeling & then came on the boat, decided to throw a line out & caught us a porgy for dinner!!!

Two creatures: One painful & one tasty.

Yes people, the video is much more visually stimulating than the photos. So please check it out!

We did actually go to Loreto the next day. However, it was completely an exhausting errand day. -Going to a gazillion shops & me getting crabby towards the end. -Nothing to see here.

Zephyr deep in thought after licking the remnants of my oatmeal bowl.

Thanks for reading & watching! Next week we spend our last few days on Isla Carmen before returning to the safe harbor of Puerto Escondido Marina.
