Monterey: September 19th - 21st, 2026

Monterey! -We made it to our 1st stop!… 🤣 I’ve set the bar low.

We were only there for 2 nights & 1 full day but that is what the weather dictated to us for our cruising schedule. So lucky that we have the resources that we do. We may not be able to plan very far ahead but we can at least plan not to be squashed by the wind or seas.

When we got to our end tie, I thought it would be fun to take Zephyr to the beach he always runs on. However, when we got there, it was barricaded off because of all of the sea lions hanging out to rest during their migration. Pretty crazy. We hadn’t seen this phenomenon before. I didn’t even know that sea lions migrated. But I guess breeding season is in August & then the males go north & the females & pups either stay in the Monterey Bay or go back down south.
