Ventura & Santa Barbara: April 16th - 19th, 2026

Leaving Marina del Rey

With a bunch of projects done & new ones that need to be done, we left Marina del Rey to get up to Ventura. We only saw a couple of major ships in the shipping lane. -Which always seems strange to me since everyone talks about having to dodge huge ships all the time in this area. I guess we’ve been lucky.

Of course we were heading directly into wind & waves & it was somewhat of a long distance -so we motored the whole way. At least it was nice & sunny.

Unfortunately, I think we were doing laundry most of the time in Ventura. 😄 So the most I captured was Zephyr being nervous in the laundry room. 😂 You can see it in the video.
