The Chaos Of Leaving! September 16th, 2026

Yes, we are leaving in a few days & yes it’s been slightly chaotic. But nothing we can’t handle. We know that you can prepare all you want for the cruising season but there’s so much that you can’t do until the last minute. And then there are all the things that come up that you find, which need to be done before leaving.

For now, we aren’t really stressing. Hopefully things will stay that way. I think I’m mostly bummed that we didn’t get together with everyone we wanted. That, and also hoping that the weather won’t change drastically on us. -Mostly hoping that we have decent weather going along the coast of Big Sur. We don’t want another trip like the 1st one we had back in 2022.

Finally, a beach day! -Or at least a day warm enough for Zephyr & me to take a long walk on it!

The weather was like summer here for about a week. And now it is autumn. The south is definitely calling us. 1st stop Monterey. -Not that warm but it gets us closer to our destination. It probably won’t feel warm to us until we get to Santa Barbara. -Which may or may not be 2 weeks from now. That is our intention at least. 😁
